Company D, 99th New York Volunteer Infantry is a non-profit group dedicated to the accurate portrayal and commemoration of the men who served in the 99th New York Volunteer Infantry from May 1861 to July 1865. We provide educational and historical support to the Fort Monroe Authority's Education Department and the Fort Monroe National Park Service.
Company D strives to portary the unit and the personnel from the American Civil War period with complete accuracy. The company is a not for profit organization, with a group of men from a wide range of backgrounds who all share a common passion for history. We fully understand that this is a hobby, and as such fully respect each member's personnel commitment level. Getting started is always the hardest part.
